High Resolution image photography is all about the ability to the capture more detail in an image. One way to get more detail is to take more pictures. In the following example I will show you the difference between a standard resolution image and a High Resolution image.
The above photograph consists of 1 image and was taken with a wide angle lens. If you zoom in all the way (using the + button) you will see the photograph begin to pixelate and lose detail as it gets closer to the branches.
The above photograph consists of 15 images and was taken with a zoom lens. If you zoom in all the way (using the + button) you will see that in this photograph the detail remains as it gets closer to the branches. This example clearly shows the potential benefits of capturing a high resolution image.
The following High Resolution image was taken for a client who wanted a photograph of the Chicago Skyline at night. The challenge was that he wanted to be able to zoom in and see the detail of a particular building. Actually, it was a particular window on a certain floor of a building. To accomplish this task we took a high resolution image consisting of 225 individual shots. As you zoom in you will continue to see the detail as you get closer to the buildings. And yes my client was able to find his window. Give it a try and see for yourself.
